Suitable for riders of all abilities and aimed at those who feel capable of going further and a little faster. The ride begins with the usual instruction/assessment in the school before going out.
The 2 hour ride takes you to a viewpoint where you will enjoy panoramic views of Caernarfon Castle, the Menai Straights, and the Irish Sea.
This is a walk and trot ride with an optional canter available for experienced riders only. Not suitable for young, inexperienced children.

Gift Certificates
- Gift certificates of a set value are available for purchase and can be redeemed against all rides. They are valid for 6 months from of the date of issue & cannot be exchanged for cash. Please call or email Snowdonia Riding Stables for details.

- The mountain rides are not suitable in inclement weather so if you are booked in and the weather is poor, please phone before you come.

My partner and I had a brilliant time on the 2hr ride. He is a relatively new rider, and I am more experienced. The ride was a mix of abilities meaning he was able to walk and trot, and I enjoyed several sections of canter. The route up the hillside was beautiful and we both really enjoyed the ride. The ride leader, Lily, was absolutely fantastic. I have visited at least 15 yards across the UK and Lily was exceptional. She was patient, kind, knowledgeable, and attentive to all riders. She was also a really lovely rider and managed some tricky situations calmly and with the welfare of all horses (and riders!) at the fore. Lily is an absolute gem and should be extremely proud of herself.

Mel and Alex who own the business were brilliant. Mel made me feel very safe on my horse before we went out. I am a complete beginner and all the staff were great at teaching. Such a lovely trek into the country. I went with my sister who could ride and they allowed us to be next to each other on the trek. It was nice to also go in a group with other people. So much fun. Can’t recommend enough.

Amazing ride today at Snowdonia riding stables. Our guide Emily was lovely and the horses were so well behaved. I started out nervous having not ridden for many years but what a confidence boost I got from my simply perfect pony Moi. The views were spectacular and the ride took us through forest, up rocky paths, then open grazing fields, passing remote farms really allowing us to appreciate the beauty of the area. Thank you so much. I simply can't wait to come back.
